Ms. Tina Lantz is the General Music Teacher and Choir Director at Lee Eaton Elementary, Nordonia Hills 5th and 6th Grade building. She is also the director of Genesis, the semi-a cappella group for this grade level. Ms. Lantz graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree from Anderson University. This is her second year teaching in the district, however she taught General Music grades K-5 at Shenandoah Elementary School in Middletown, IN for nine years prior.
Ms. Lantz resides in Cuyahoga Falls with her two young boys, Henry and Hudson.
Julie A. Bozic grew up in Tallmadge, OH. She attended Mount Union College in Alliance, OH for two years and then moved south and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University, in Savannah, Georgia, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education in 2007. She then obtained her Masters of Music with emphasis in Choral Conducting from The University Of Akron in 2010. She has taught within the Barberton City School District, Akron Public School District as well as the Tallmadge City School District. Within these schools she taught K-5 general music as well as 4-8 grade choir. Teaching choir is her passion because of her interest in the voice and her love for helping people express themselves through music. Julia resides with her husband, Adam, daughters, Emma and Ella and son AJ. She LOVES working at Nordonia Middle School!
Mr. Pickering is the Director Of Choral Activities for Nordonia Hills City Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Bowling Green State University & Masters Degree in Choral Conducting from Kent State University. Winner of the Louis John Johnen Vocal Competitions, he has appeared on stage in numerous professional and community theatrical productions including Beauty & The Beast, King & I, 110 In The Shade, A Christmas Carol, Pippin, Sound of Music, La Traviata, and Gianni Schicchi, Street Scene, among many others. He has performed with Middletown Lyric Theatre, Canton Player’s Guild, Akron Lyric Opera, Canton Comic Opera Company, Waterville Playshop, Nightengale Opera Theatre & has been guest soloist with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra and the Toledo Choral Society with the Toledo Symphony. Active as a choral clinician and judge, choral ensembles under his direction have had the honor to sing for President George W. Bush, have opened for nationally recognized acts, appeared on statewide teaching conventions and B.O.H.S.A. (Best Of High School Acappella) National Compilation recordings. They, also, have consistently received Superior ratings at both OMEA District and State Contests. Mr. Pickering is a member of Ohio Music Education Association, American Choral Directors Association. He lives in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife, Julie, and their 3 children; Caleb, Leah & Micah.
